Holy cow! This is amazing! A lot of the crocheted/knitted plushies that I see on the internet aren't as show-accurate/good-looking as I would like, but this one is SO GOOD. I'm not a crocheter by any means (sewing is more my style), but my sister is, so i can understand all the work that was poured into this. And not only did you make a perfect plushie, but you made a pattern for anyone to use. I'll have to show this to my sister and (hopefully) get her to make one. Really, this is some amazing work.

Thank you so much! That means so much to me to hear. Yeah, I actually made it just because there were no patterns I could find that were show-accurate enough for my tastes and I figured I couldn't be the only one with this complaint. :) If she makes one, I'd love to see a picture.

This makes me wish I knew how to crochet. And I will post a picture if she does.

Approximately how long does it take to make?

Er, well, I only made the ones to create the pattern and that took me like six months working on it on and off. I don't know how good she is, but I think I could probably knock one out in a week or two if I actually focused and remembered to devote time to it everyday. Though I've been doing crochet most of my life so I'm pretty fast at it.

How tall is the finished plushie? (I can't wait to try this pattern out! :iconpinkiepieclapplz: )

Well, of course it can vary depending on your hook size, yarn weight, and gauge, but mine is 11 inches tall.

Also, I'd love to see a picture when you're done.

I thought your icon looked familiar... you run the Maple Star Toys blog on Tumblr don't you?

Also thanks for the awesome pattern! My friend and I like crochet but we had no idea how to make a pony... this explains everything in a way we, as fairly amateurish beginners, can understand!
